Atacama

I immediately fell in love with Atacama. It reminds me of everything that I am attracted to in the western United States but supercharged. The elevation gives it a surreal platform for viewing the surroundings, and especially the sky. I like to refer to it as “Death Valley of the Heavens”. The photographs were taken in the Chilean territory of the Atacama on my most recent trip.
